About My Family

God called me to full-time ministry, serving under the leadership of the Calhoun Baptist Association in Anniston, Ala. I was a single mother at the age of 18, and though I grew up attending church in New Hampshire, it wasn’t until I moved to Denver, N.C., at the age of 48 that I started learning what it truly meant to have a relationship with Jesus and what He did on the cross for a sinner like me. The age of 50 was special for me for that is when I truly surrendered to Him, asking Him to make me the woman He wanted me to be.

Life has not been the same since that day. God told me to sell all I had as He was going to send me into the mission field. I allowed my flesh to take over in many ways, but after some time, I sold it all. On June 1, 2014, He sent me to Anniston, Ala., and provided me with a fully furnished home to rent.

About My Ministry

God has used me in many ways these last 10 years for a time such as this. Serving the homeless and under-resourced with the hope of a better tomorrow. The focus has often changed day to day, yet the vision remains the same love as Jesus first loved me.

God has given me a heart to serve in the local schools of Anniston, Ala. I believe being present in the students and teachers lives. They don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. I thank God for giving me a love for all sports so I can build relationships, not only with the students but often with their parents as well.

I am currently following God’s lead to start a youth church with any student who wants to come, engaging, equipping and empowering others with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Pray

Pray God will give me discernment in each relationship He places before me. Pray I will keep my eyes and focus on Jesus and His call for me here. Pray for a spiritual awakening in Calhoun County. Pray local churches will catch the vision that their mission field is where God has planted them. Pray followers of Jesus Christ will realize they are the church; it doesn’t need to be a building.

Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
