About My Family
God called me to full-time ministry, serving under the leadership of the Calhoun Baptist Association in Anniston, Ala. I was a single mother at the age of 18, and though I grew up attending church in New Hampshire, it wasn't until I moved to Denver, N.C., at the age of 48 that I started learning what it truly meant to have a relationship with Jesus and what He did on the cross for a sinner like me. The age of 50 was special for me for that is when I truly surrendered to Him, asking Him to make me the woman He wanted me to be. Life has not been the same since that day. God told me to sell all I had as He was going to send me into the mission field. I allowed my flesh to take over in many ways, but after some time, I sold it all. On June 1, 2014, He sent me to Anniston, Ala., and provided me with a fully furnished home to rent.
About My Ministry
God gave me a heart to love the women He places in my path. I love them right where they are, the same as He first loved me. Many of the women He places before me need an advocate to bring them the hope they can find in Jesus. I serve alongside the City of Anniston when the warming shelter is open and the Soup Bowl when they are closed for a break. I do this by building relationships with local churches. I also lead a discipleship group called D-Life. God has provided college students to lead Bible clubs in two of the Housing Authority communities, as well as a women's group in another community with a friend from another church. Building relationships with those He puts before me is the main part of my ministry here. I make myself available to Him for the one He has for me to bring Him glory.
