About My Family
God has graciously been at work in the Conner family lately! For two years (2014–2016), we learned and led in a church planting residency at One21 Church in Winston-Salem, N.C. Around the time we started the residency, God gave Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, N.C., a vision to partner with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) to plant dozens of churches in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Through God’s working, Jill and I were connected with Calvary and began praying about whether God was calling our family to move to Calgary to make disciples and to plant churches. After a great year of prayer, vision trips and assessment with NAMB, we are excited to say we know God has called us to move to Calgary to plant our lives, plant the gospel and plant churches! We moved to the Nolan Hill community of northern Calgary in February 2017.

About My Church Plant
Our vision for Calgary is to "Help Every Person in Every Place Find Hope in Christ," and we want to see that happen by consistently and intentionally living out our mission of "Connecting Our Neighbours to Christ and Each Other."
Inspired by our vision statement, we felt led to be called Hope Church and are currently being planted by Tapestry Church (tapestrycochrane.ca). We have multiple groups meeting weekly for disciple-making, community and mission and started weekly worship gatherings September 2018. We desire to multiply disciples, leaders and churches in Nolan Hill, Calgary, Canada, and the world and invite you to join us by praying, coming and giving. NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
