About My Family
I grew up in Oklahoma City and came to know Christ at age 6 after hearing the gospel at school. I began attending church at age 16, but only went to meet other teenagers. This church welcomed me without hesitation. I was amazed at how selflessly they loved one another and embraced me. As I attended regularly and heard the Word of God, I realized I needed to pursue Christ actively. As I dove into His Word, I experienced the satisfaction and freedom only Jesus gives.
Next, I attended the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), where I studied creative writing. I graduated in May 2018, and pursued a writing career. I have published two science fiction novels and am writing scripts for studios while also serving in youth ministry at Newchurch and the college/young adult ministry at the UCO Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM).
Next, I attended the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), where I studied creative writing. I graduated in May 2018, and pursued a writing career. About My Ministry
The UCO BCM was founded in 1932 by a group of college students at Edmond’s First Baptist Church, who saw a need for a Christ-centered community on the campus of Central State College (University of Central Oklahoma). Fast-forward 90+ years later. The Lord has used the BCM to reach thousands of students across campus, the Edmond community and the ends of the earth with the gospel, discipleship and encouragement.
As a college freshman seeking community, I became involved in the BCM, and the staff and students immediately began investing in me and my faith. The Lord ignited a passion in me to do the same for others, and He called me to serve on staff in 2022. Now, I strive to help freshmen and new students find friendship and discipleship through weekly small groups, worship services and one-on-one meetings.
