About My Family
Leah and I have been married since 1988. We have three amazing adult children: Jim, Liz and Ingrid. Both Leah and I grew up on the beautiful island of Palawan, Philippines. We went to the same high school but did not begin dating until we were 24 and 21. In 1999, we immigrated to the United States with our young kids. Since then we have been involved in church planting in New Jersey and North Carolina.
I grew up in a family that valued ministry. My parents spent their adult lives working with missionaries, pastoring and planting churches in Palawan. Leah had a different story. As a homesick college student living in a different part of the country, she decided to sign up for a Bible correspondence course that would let her receive and send through mail. Through reading discipleship material, she came to know the Lord Jesus Christ.

About My Church Plant
Echo Church is a network of disciple-making house churches in the Triad of North Carolina (Greensboro and surrounding cities). We help people “live lives that last” by guiding them to walk with Christ and with a community. We help each other discover our life’s purpose and then make a difference in those around us.
Our big dream is “100 in 10,” which is 100 house churches in the next 10 years.

NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.
