About My Family

Emanuel has been involved in international and multicultural ministries for more than 20 years and has served as a pastor for more than 15 years in both Europe and the U.S. He is an expository preacher and teacher of the Word who has always been passionate about missions and discipleship. His gifts are in the areas of vision and leadership, equipping and motivating. He holds bachelor's and master’s degrees in theology, a master’s in business and is currently completing his doctoral studies in theology.

Emanuel and Ioana have been happily married and serving for more than 15 years. They have been blessed with two wonderful children. Although very much a part of the ministry, Ioana is a dedicated homeschooling mom, invested in diligently teaching and instructing her children while faithfully supporting her husband in ministry.

About My Church Plant

Maranatha Baptist Church is a truly multiethnic church that strives to fulfill God’s mandate to be “a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7). Maranatha is located in Queens, N.Y., where it is literally in the middle of all nations. There are more than 100,000 people packed within a one-mile radius of our location with about 40% of our neighborhood being foreign-born. All need the gospel.

Having a background as a Romanian ethnic church, Maranatha set out to replant and develop a ministry model that serves the community intentionally and comprehensively in multiple languages, according to the people groups represented in the neighborhood. Currently, Maranatha Baptist Church serves in English, Albanian, Polish and Romanian, bringing all nations together under one church ministry. It is a true house of worship for all nations.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for my family as we work together in ministry. Pray the church will grow and multiply. Pray the Lord brings leaders who can help within the church. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
