About My Family
Hello, my name is Emma Pirela. My husband, Francisco, and I serve refugees in Clarkston, Ga.
I grew up as a missionary kid working with refugees in Europe and later in the Carolinas. From a very early age, I felt the call to serve the Lord in missions working with displaced people. In 2020, I moved to Clarkston where I have been able to lead in tangible ministry.
Francisco is originally from Venezuela, but grew up in South Florida. I met him in 2021 when he came to Clarkston on a short-term trip. The Lord broke his heart for the lost and the nations who were coming to our city. We began a relationship, and he was able to relocate to Clarkston in 2022 and join in the ministry happening here. We got married in April 2023.
The Lord has been so faithful to bring us to Clarkston to be part of the work here.

About My Ministry
Although Clarkston is considered a small town, it is one of the most densely populated ZIP codes in all of Georgia. It is known as the Ellis Island of the South because refugees from every continent have been resettled here. There are more than 150 different people groups in Clarkston, with 90 of those being unreached people groups.
As new refugee families come into our community, our heart is to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we build relationships and meet needs. We also strive to mobilize the local church to step into the lives of our foreign neighbors. Through this compassion ministry, the ultimate goal is to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples.
