About My Family
Mrs. Wendy and I are San Francisco Bay Area natives and have a lovely boy, Enrique III (10). We have felt God’s call to plant a church in Hollister, California.
About My Church Plant
After seminary, we initially thought that pursuing Ph.D. work was the natural next step, but God had other plans. We connected with some brothers who shared their vision with us, and the rest is history. We prayed, prayed, and prayed some more for confirmation that this is what God was calling us to do.
During a visit to the city of Hollister, we ran into a street preacher in front of a local Hispanic market. I walked up to him and began to listen and pray for him. He stopped and asked me, “What are you doing?” I said, I’m praying for you as you share the gospel. I invited him to our park service, and he said, “I don’t want that.” This broke my heart. As we continued to evangelize the area, our hearts began to break for the lost souls in the city.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
