About My Family
I met my Irina as a teenager. We attended the same church, got baptized together and then our ways parted for a decade. But then we met again, and this time our ways would not part. I found her to be an amazing companion.
Irina has joined me in my ministry, and together we got to serve in a context of a multicultural/bilingual church across the river from Portland, Ore. While serving there we had our three wonderful children—our favorite disciples, Sophia, David and John. Seminary studies took us across the country to Louisville, Ky., where we studied at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, completing my M.Div. in 2021. Studying, traveling and taking a break from many years of pastoral ministry made these the most memorable years of our life.
We love being together, whether reading or biking, singing or hiking.

About My Church Plant
Church planting in Boise was a response to a call. There was literally a phone call, inviting us to come, but behind it we heard the Lord’s call to this work. To leave an established ministry and go to an unknown place to establish a new church was the greatest challenge we ever accepted from the Lord. Redeemer Baptist Church (RBC) was initially formed from second-generation Eastern European families but as others joined we moved beyond that demographic. Our prayer is that RBC would be represented by converts from many nationalities and cultures in this rapidly growing city.
At RBC we (my co-pastor, Vitaliy, and I) proclaim the gospel of Christ and preach the Bible expositionally. We pray, fellowship and disciple, as well as baptize and share Communion. We seek out ways to interact with unbelievers, introducing them to the way of Jesus.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
