About My Family

I have been happily married for 30 years. My husband and I have one daughter who is a CPA and another daughter who is a data scientist. They both work for Delta. My husband worked as a computer engineer for UPS and retired in February 2022. My husband and I care for my 93-year-old mother, who moved in with us in August 2021. I have one sister who is married and a nephew.

About My Ministry

I am an SBC-endorsed Corporate Chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains. I completed my first CPE Unit at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tenn., where I served as the chaplain for the neuro/trauma ICU, pediatric ICU and oncology units. I am beginning my residency in chaplaincy at the Atlanta VA this summer.

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry in May 2022 from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS). I am now finishing my Master of Divinity degree with a specialization in chaplaincy and will graduate in December 2023 from NOBTS. I am a licensed professional counselor and graduated with my master’s degree in counseling and psychological services in 1989.

I have served my Lord faithfully as a Christian counselor.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard to reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain are established by the using agency and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.

Pray

Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom I minister. Pray for people to come to saving faith in Jesus. Pray for more to become missionaries and chaplains.
