About My Family

I have been married for almost 45 years to Francie. We have three grown daughters who are married with their own careers and families, which includes our 12 grandchildren, in whom we know we are extremely blessed.

I am also a retired U.S. Army soldier after serving 24 years. I also served for 12 years as a defense contractor in the Balkans and Afghanistan. Again, I am extremely blessed to have been able to share my faith in these countries with host country nationals and fellow Americans.

My wife and I started our own prison and jail ministry in 2010 called Jesus is Love Outreach Ministry, which opened the door of opportunity to become a full-time correctional chaplain in 2015.

About My Ministry

I currently serve as an SBC-endorsed Texas Department of Criminal Justice chaplain in three prison units: two female (1,200 inmates) and a male unit (3,000 inmates). Though the load seems extremely challenging (and some days it is), I am always encouraged by Psalm 84:5 and Jeremiah 17:7.

I find opportunities to share the gospel every single day and get to witness the incredible, life-changing power of the Lord working in the lives of staff and inmates. These are very challenging times, both inside and outside of prison, but at no other time in my life have I felt more excited and privileged to serve the Lord as a born-again believer!

Pray

Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom I minister. Pray for people to come to saving faith in Jesus. Pray more people will become missionaries and chaplains.
