About My Family
My wife and I will celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary on November 19, 2024. We have five grown children, four daughters and one son. We have 12 grandchildren. I have pastored churches in Louisiana and Georgia. Now, my wife and I have started a plant in Auburndale, Fla., as part of Lakes Church.
My wife and I came to central Florida to help my youngest daughter get through nursing school. She is also the mother of two of our grandchildren and is a staff sergeant the in the U.S. Air Force. We still maintain a residence in north Georgia and did not plan to make Florida our residence. God had other plans and called us to start a church plant in Auburndale, Fla. Auburndale is between Tampa and Orlando.
I am also a retired captain from the Canton Police Department and a retired sergeant with the Cherokee County School Police in Georgia.

About My Church Plant
On Sunday, August 11, 2024, we had our first worship service. On Wednesday, August 14, we started an English as a Second Language program for the Hispanic community, as well as an adult Bible study class. We started our first worship service with about 20 in attendance. Auburndale is a rapidly growing city with quite a large number of the population being of Hispanic/Latino origin. There are no other Baptist Latino churches in the area, and we are looking forward to minister to that population.
NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
