About My Family

My wife, Kimberly, and I both grew up near Dallas, Texas. We met and eventually fell in love while attending East Texas Baptist University. We married in 2006 and immediately accepted a position as pastor to children and youth at a church near Abilene, while continuing my education at the graduate level.
Upon earning a master of divinity degree from Logsdon Seminary, our family moved back to Dallas to serve on staff at a church with a rich history of educating, endorsing and sending out their own to the mission field. In all we have served on staff at three Southern Baptist churches in Texas and also served the residents of an apartment community where we were first exposed to Muslim peoples, and eventually sensed a shift in vocational call to invest our lives in Muslim families for the purpose of displaying and declaring the "mystery of Christ" (Col. 4:3).
Upon receiving this call from the Lord to step away from church staff ministry and to step out in faith in 2012, we were blessed to join a like-minded team of people group missionaries to Muslims here in Texas through the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and to gain a further understanding of the Islamic religion and culture, a confidence in the Arabic language and immersion experience by weekly visiting the homes of local Muslims and even by traveling to Palestine and Jordan in consecutive summers in 2013 and 2014.
During those years we were also blessed to serve in a volunteer leadership support role in the planting of a house church among Muslim background believers in Ft. Worth. Our love for God and for one another continues to grow with every winding turn of this journey. Though we at times still wonder from where the monthly resources will come, God is faithful to calm our hearts and to provide in His timing. And though we have faced the heartaches of multiple miscarriages, Kimberly and I could not be more overjoyed as we await eagerly the arrival and placement of our first child through the infant adoption process with the Gladney Center!

About My Ministry

In addition to the ministry of personal evangelism and discipleship among Muslim persons of peace, Kimberly and I have a passion for sharing our vocational call story with local churches and training, equipping and mobilizing the body of Christ to better understand, feel compassion for and have a burden for Muslims to hear and receive the good news of Jesus Christ.
Currently, most of our efforts and time are committed to a large pocket of Muslim refugees living in apartment communities in north Dallas. The most recent open door by which the Lord has granted us access to more of these dear Syrian, Iraqi and Afghani families is the distribution of food, diapers, furniture and other household necessities. As we discern those whom the Lord is preparing to hear, we distribute Bibles in their respective heart languages and make plans to study it together. We would love once again to be an integral part of planting a house church among Muslim background believers here in north Texas and, thus, strive toward that goal.

This contribution is made with the understanding that The North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Inc. has complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds, and gifts received above the specific need will be used in similar areas where the need is greatest.

For churches as they prepare to send out missionaries and chaplains to push back lostness in North America. For receptive hearts among the people in communities where these missionaries and chaplains will serve. For churches and individuals to partner with missionaries and chaplains and to give of their time and talents. For the Father to send more workers into His harvest to join these missionaries.

We have many opportunities for believers in the north Texas area to join us on mission. Please contact us if you are interested in serving the Muslim refugees of Dallas. Join with our family to reach the Muslims of North Texas by becoming a prayer and supporting partner.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
