About My Family

I am Hal Selby. My wife, Lisa, and I are ministry directors of Refuge 461 Ministries. We have been married since 1987 and have three children and eight grandchildren. Our home and ministry are located in Wiggins, Miss. Our ministry website is refuge461.org.

About My Ministry

Refuge 461 Ministries is a Christian discipleship ministry offering help and hope to individuals, couples and families whose lives are impacted by homosexuality. People ask us all the time how we got involved in a ministry to those impacted by homosexuality. The answer is that our lives have been impacted by homosexuality.

In November 1999, I confessed to Lisa my involvement in homosexuality for most of my life, including our then 12 years of marriage. Through that confession to Lisa, God began an amazing work in our lives and marriage. God not only healed our marriage but worked greatly in my life to help me live free in Christ. From this God called us to minister to others who need to know this freedom.

Pray

Pray God will work powerfully in those whose lives are impacted by homosexuality. Pray God will give us wisdom and courage to lead the next generation to have a biblical Christian worldview of sex and sexuality. Pray that we, as the church, will meet the moral challenges of our day in a way that is true to the Word of God and is redemptive in its approach. Pray God continues to use the biblical principles found in the Live Free Bible study to help individuals to live free in Christ one step at a time. Pray God will open doors of opportunity for us to share our story of His work of grace with churches around the country.

Participate

Pray for us. Join our prayer team. We are assembling a team to pray specifically for those presently involved in homosexuality. Invite us to come help equip you and your church in how to have a redemptive response to those whose lives are impacted by homosexuality.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision.
