About My Family
I’m a Navy veteran and was called into full-time ministry while serving. I have a bachelor’s degree in speech-language and hearing sciences and an M.Div.
I was born in San Diego, but grew up commuting back and forth across the border city of Tijuana, Mexico, to go to school and work in San Diego. My wife is from Hidalgo, Mexico, and has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She is a stay-at-home mom taking care of our home and our two boys: Isaac Junior (7) and Samuel (3).

About My Church Plant
We’re a second- and third-generation Hispanic church. The first generation is the parents who came to the U.S. The second generation was born here. They hold their Hispanic roots but are completely Americanized. English is their primary language. When they go to church with their parents, they’re disengaged. Most are not saved. Youth groups haven’t worked for them. As children, they were pressured to be baptized without being saved, and they didn’t understand the gospel. Since translated sermons don’t work, we started a church for them where the Word is preached in English so they can understand the gospel.
We’ve seen God’s grace grow in our church, giving them a second opportunity to listen to and heed the gospel call and be saved. Now they’re getting married, and their kids are being born in our church.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
