About My Family
In the past eight years, I have been on the pastoral team for a church hungry to plant churches and make Jesus’ name known. In only the way God could, He has now called the Barnes family to be sent out. We are excited about the ministry the Lord has in store as we plant a church in Madison Heights, Va.
Abby and I have been married for 10 years and have one son, Liam (7), and one daughter, Cora (2). We met in Lynchburg, Va., as Abby was completing her master’s degree in professional counseling. She now works as a licensed professional counselor in the community.
Our family loves spending time outdoors, sharing meals with friends and neighbors, and we will never turn down an opportunity for ice cream.

About My Church Plant
The Lord began to direct our steps toward church planting in February 2022. Through much prayer and confirmation, God gave us clarity that He was calling us specifically to the community of Madison Heights. We pressed into the needs of the area and discovered a population where more than 60% do not attend church.
With additional growth in the community on the horizon, there is an apparent need for more gospel-centered, disciple-making churches. God has already begun to work in the details as another pastor and his family are joining our family on this mission. We desire Bedrock Church Madison Heights to be a ministry focused on glorifying God in all areas of our lives and making disciples hungry to share about the love of Jesus.
