About My Family

Stephanie and I have been married for 30 years. We have five adult children ranging in age from 18 to 26: Hannah; Grant; Joshua and his wife, Hannah; and identical twins, Ethan and James.

Our three youngest sons attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. Four of our five children are actively making disciples.

About My Church Plant

Over our lifetime, we have had the honor of praying with many people to receive Christ. Our passion is to make disciples by transforming lost sheep into good shepherds. The fruit of our ministry is the mobilization of young adults to live life on mission. Along the way we have planted seven churches from San Diego to Alberta, Canada to Alaska.

Our new assignment brings us to the East Coast to plant a new church in Virginia. We will once again search for, save and send workers into the harvest field. Our experience utilizing different models (from contemporary to house churches) uniquely helps us train and deploy various types of leaders. Our aim is to imitate Jesus by mobilizing ordinary people to fulfill the Great Commission.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Participate

Prayerfully consider joining our team in Virginia as a Barnabas family. Become a monthly donor to fund the ministry. Provide a home for us in the greater Lynchburg area to facilitate life and ministry.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
