As a 501(c)(3) organization, the North American Mission Board respects the intent of givers while retaining discretion over the use of all gifts. Any gifts received above the specific need will be applied where the need is greatest.
About My Family
My wife, Jen, and I are originally from Texas, and we have three children (Joshua, Joanna and Caleb). After marrying in 2014, we moved to Toronto, Ontario, where we planted a church with Send Network. In 2019, we moved to Washington, D.C., where we planted Pillar Church of Washington, D.C. Then, in 2022, Pillar D.C. sent us out to plant once again, this time to San Antonio outside Lackland Air Force Base.
We came to San Antonio because of the massive military presence and the tremendous need for healthy churches that clearly preach the Word of God in this area. We’re part the Praetorian Project, a family of multiplying churches in military communities worldwide. San Antonio has been dubbed “Military City USA” and is home to three military installations, 35,000 troops and around 100,000 veterans. The fields here are white for harvest!

About My Church Plant
Pillar San Antonio was formed after Pillar D.C., the church I was previously pastoring, sent my family out along with two other families in the summer of 2022 to begin this new work. Together with four other families who were already in San Antonio, we began having core team meetings in our home in September of 2022.
Our church meets minutes from Lackland Air Force Base, one of the busiest and most active Air Force bases in the world. While we don’t exclusively reach military families, and our church is made up of people from all walks of life, we do want to be a church where military members and their families feel at home and loved. We see the transient nature of military life as a unique opportunity to make disciples who will take the gospel with them wherever Uncle Sam sends them around the world.

NAMB Church Planting
Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.
