About My Family

My wife and I have four sons and one exceptional daughter-in-law. We grew up in Florida before serving 25 years in the military.

I retired as an Army Chaplain endorsed by NAMB in 2019 and then spent six years as Dean of Spiritual Life and University Chaplain at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. I recently completed a Ph.D. in Christian leadership at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and my wife is pursuing a Master of Arts in discipleship there. I serve as adjunct faculty at Moldova Bible Seminary in Chisinau, Moldova.

My research interests focus on the intersection between Christian theology and popular leadership theory.

About My Church Plant

I currently serve as executive pastor of Goodwater Church—a church planted on October 5, 2025, in Whitefish, Montana, in partnership with Send Network and the Montana Southern Baptist Convention. Our sending church is First Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas.

I’m currently endorsed by NAMB as a church-planting team member and an SBC-endorsed public safety chaplain with the Montana Department of Justice and Whitefish Police Department.

Pray

Join us in asking God to continue raising up ministry team leaders who have a heart for making disciples. Pray God will grant our congregation increasing favor with our community. Ask the Lord to raise up pastors and planters from within Montana and to send others from outside the state, so we can saturate this awe-inspiring place with the good news of Jesus. Pray that a spirit of responsiveness to the gospel and the Great Commission will sweep across our state.

Participate

Intercede on behalf of pastors and church planters across Montana. Consider asking your local church to go above and beyond normal Cooperative Program giving and commit resources to the expansion of the kingdom in Montana by directly supporting church plants and established congregations through active partnership as well as provide seminary scholarships for current and aspiring ministers.
NAMB does not provide compensation for SBC endorsed chaplains. However, a general fund is available to receive donations in support of the ministry and pastoral care to SBC endorsed chaplains. To donate, please visit Support Chaplaincy (missionaries.namb.net/projects/full/chaplaincy).
