About My Family

We are Blake and Katie Odgers, and we have one son, Asa James. I first sensed a call to ministry as a teenager, but God quickly refined that personal call into a passion for the mission of Jesus and a deep love and burden for His bride, the Church.

I discovered church planting in my early 20s, and my imagination was captivated. Through Katie, the Lord led me to West Ridge Church, where I served as a member for two years until coming on staff in 2020 as a church planting resident (2020–2024) as well as the college and young adults pastor (2021–2023).

We have lived in and around Atlanta all of our entire adult lives. We love this city. Our son will grow up in this city. We are excited to see the calling God has been stirring in us begin to take shape in the place we call home.

About My Church Plant

Kingdom City Church exists to continue the ministry of Jesus in Atlanta by practicing and proclaiming the way of the kingdom for the good of the city. We are planting a church in one of the fastest-growing and least-churched areas of Atlanta. Chamblee is a community of 30,000 people (250,000 in a 5-mile radius) who have no church in their community and are seeking to flourish (individually and communally) apart from Jesus.

As believers, we know they will inevitably be disappointed and disillusioned unless and until they hear and experience the good news of the gospel that leads to new life in the Spirit. Our heart is to form people and plant churches. We long to see Kingdom City Church be a catalyst for revival and renewal within the greater Atlanta area and a multiplying movement to cities throughout the country and among the nations.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for our family and team as we evangelize our neighborhoods and work to plant Kingdom City Church. Pray Kingdom City Church will be established and healthy and will multiply throughout the city, country and world. Pray the Lord continues to develop and grow our existing core team who will lead within Kingdom City Church. Pray for favor and influence as we build relationships with neighbors, community servants and city leadership. Pray for grit, endurance and faithfulness for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
