About My Family
Tessa and I married December 6, 2013. We have two children: Corrie Summer (born 11/15/14) and Nate Michael (born 10/20/16). We hope to add more to this clan in the near future! We are getting ready to move from the only place we have known, Riverside, Calif., to a totally different state and culture—Portland, Ore. I will be pursuing a pastoral ministry internship with the hope of being a senior pastor in the next few years.
About My Church Plant
In the near future, I will be participating in a pastoral internship aimed at raising up future pastors and church planters. The bulk of the study is focused on church polity and pastoral ministry. It is meant to equip men to be ready for the difficulties that come with pastoral ministry and leading change in a church. We will read many books, write just as many papers and have even more discussions. This is full immersion, and I am so incredibly grateful you would desire to partner with us. I hope to be in pastoral ministry in the next few years, and your support is helping me to get there. Thank you!

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity.
