About My Family

I serve as the lead planter and pastor at Redeemer Church. I hold an M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to planting Redeemer Church, I served as the missions and outreach pastor at LifeHouse Church in Townsend, Del., for more than seven years. Prior to full-time ministry, I served in the Delaware Air National Guard full-time as a dual-status federal technician, working as an aircraft metals craftsman for eight years and also as the Base Honor Guard NCOIC for four of those years, with a total of 12 years of military service.

My wife, Brandy, and I were married in October 2013. We and our five children—Levi, Malachi, Cora Mae, Massey Ruth, and Ezra—moved to Buxton in August 2024.

I enjoy fishing, hunting, all things Lord of the Rings, playing board games with my wife and watching the New England Patriots play.

About My Church Plant

We are planting Redeemer Church in Westbrook, Maine, this fall. We moved to Maine in August 2024 and are hitting the ground running! Our heart is to see the people of the Greater Portland area transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ that they would experience the redemption that is found in Him alone.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

Pray God will provide a location in Westbrook where we can host a Bible study. Pray the Lord will bring in the full amount of financial support needed for our church plant. Pray for the Herrera family, who are our partner family in this work. Pray God will provide a home for them in Maine. Pray the Father will send more workers into His harvest to join in planting Redeemer Church.

Participate

Connect as a Supporting Church with our work. Commit to long-term mission support with us. Pray for us!
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
