About My Family

We believe international students in North America are the most strategic agents to fulfill the Great Commission. I was privileged to grow up the child of missionaries. My parents served with the International Mission Board (IMB) for 33 years.

I am happily married to Alana, and we have two boys: Ike and Tobi. We enjoy living in the small, college town of Clemson, S.C.

We very much enjoy introducing our international friends to Jesus and to their local community. We are a family in ministry, and we enjoy serving together.

About My Ministry

In July 2019, we formed Friends of Internationals, Inc., a nonprofit in partnership with Clemson Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) and five local associations of churches. I encourage, equip and mobilize members, churches and associations in developing effective strategies to share the good news of Jesus Christ with international students, scholars, staff and their families while they are on our doorstep. In 2008, I began as director of international student ministry for the Clemson BCM.

Our three goals: 1) to share the good news of Jesus Christ with international students, scholars and families; 2) to equip and disciple international student believers to share this gospel wherever God takes them; 3) to equip and involve local believers in touching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ through ministries to international students.

Pray

Pray the Holy Spirit will precede us and prepare the hearts of internationals to hear and respond to the good news about Jesus Christ. Pray associations, churches and individuals will see and understand that God is bringing international students to U.S. college campuses for His purposes. Pray that out of the churches (and out of the harvest) God will raise up volunteers and coworkers. Pray that God alone will choose and bring people to the ministry and that they will be taught and equipped in ways that bring Him glory. Pray God will provide abundantly for the needs of our family, as well as for the needs of the expanding ministry.

Participate

Connect as a partner (prayer/volunteer) with our work. Commit to long-term missions support (financial) with your missionary partner. Be involved in supporting missionaries and their families. Pray for missionaries. Partner with us by befriending a student and his/her family and friends. Allow us to mobilize and equip you to serve with us.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant. Visit sendnetwork.com/PlanterFunding for NAMB's policy on providing for church plants.
