About My Family

I was born and raised in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in western Montana. Jesus saved me in middle school, but it wasn’t until I got to college in California that I experienced intentional, gospel-shaped discipleship through a campus ministry.

I met and married Joy during college, and we came on staff with the ministry after graduating in 2012, where we served for about eight years. We moved our family home to Montana at the beginning of 2021 to join the Grizzly Christian Fellowship (GCF) staff and be part of what God is doing at the University of Montana through Sovereign Hope Church.

I love sharing Christ with and discipling college students, particularly in the context of the local church. Joy and I have three young kids, Jonah, Lily and Boaz.

About My Ministry

Grizzly Christian Fellowship is an extension of Sovereign Hope Church on campus at the University of Montana. We operate as an evangelistic outpost of the local church, knowing the university is a strategic hub for seeing the gospel advance across the city, region and, ultimately and prayerfully, across the globe!

Our ministry consists primarily of sharing the gospel, discipling students in one-on-one and small group settings, training up leaders for campus and the church, holding evangelistic/discovery Bible studies on campus, hosting students in our home, and sending students out into the world as equipped disciple makers. Everything we do centers on and revolves around the good news that Jesus did everything required to save sinners and restore us to relationship with God!

Pray

–Pray that the students with whom we share Christ will be saved. –Pray that the students we’re discipling will love God and others. –Pray that the students we’re discipling will reproduce what we’re investing in them in others. –Pray that the students we’re discipling will develop a big vision for their lives and go to the nations with the gospel.

Participate

In Matthew 9:37, when Jesus tells the disciples that the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few, rather than first sending them out, He commands them to pray. Nothing of eternal significance can happen on campus apart from asking God to do what only He can do! Secondly, we depend on the sacrificial financial support of a team of individuals, families and churches to fulfill what God has called us to do. We would love to have you on our team!
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
