About My Family

I was born in Colombia and was raised in Paterson, New Jersey, since I was 9. My wife, Rogeiris, was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States when she was 13. We met at our local community college in 2014, and got married on May 26, 2019.

At our home church, we served in various ministries, from teaching Sunday school to leading youth and worship ministries. We also served in ABHNYNJ, an association of Baptist churches from New York and New Jersey, for the past four years as leaders of the association’s youth ministry, organizing youth conferences and camps for more than 500 youth.

In August 2025, I visited San Diego and felt God’s call. A week later, at a youth camp, God confirmed that calling to my wife and me through one of the pastors there. We believe that God has been preparing us for this calling.

About My Church Plant

Selah Church’s mission is to help every home in San Diego find rest in Jesus. We believe real rest is discipleship, learning to follow Jesus by saying yes to Him, surrendering our everyday decisions to His will, and letting His Word shape our lives together.

We feel that God is calling us to reach a bilingual audience (Spanish- and English-speaking). And serve in and around the North Park, Hillcrest, and University Heights area of San Diego.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for my family and the pastoral family, that we can make an impact on the lives of the people living in San Diego and the community around us. Pray for receptive hearts among the people in the communities where we are serving, that God may tear down any and all strongholds the enemy has here in San Diego. Pray that God opens doors for new partners who will come alongside us and for the people God will bring as part of our core team. Pray God will raise up leaders to be sent as future church planters, missionaries, and believing laymen. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.

Participate

There are many ways you can participate; the first and most important is through prayer. Another way is by giving financially to help make our vision a reality. We are financially supported through churches and people like you. Lastly, join us, if you feel led to be a part of our church plant or want to send short-term missionaries to help with outreach events, we’d love to serve alongside you!
