About My Family

I was born and raised in South Korea, where I met my wife. We moved and got married in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1999. I was 30 years old when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, beginning my ministry journey. I have been attending New Orleans Theological Seminary since 2012, receiving my bachelor’s degree in ministry (2016), an M.Div. (2020), and am currently studying for my D.Min. (2027).

I have served as an associate pastor for the past 10 years and am hoping to branch out and start my own church.

My wife and I have four children—Isaac, Joshua, Maria, and Joseph. Our two oldest sons live with their wives and work at Delta. Our only daughter is a university student majoring in biology. Our youngest son is a rising high schooler.

About My Church Plant

I have served as a pastor at the Lord’s Presbyterian Church from 2012 to 2016 and as an associate pastor at Sugarloaf Korean Baptist Church from 2016 to present.

But our new Dacula Korean Baptist Church is to seek out the lost Korean souls in the Atlanta area and lead them to Jesus Christ, to form a life-giving community of Christ who heals and restores the world through the gospel, and to become a church that reveals the glory of God the Father through all its ministries. We plan to be a community where the gospel, faith, and love are at work.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.

Pray

Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom we speak. Pray that through this ministry, more people would come to saving faith and live on mission. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.

Participate

Build relationships with missionaries and their families. Send notes of encouragement. Learn birthdays and anniversaries, so you can send gifts and cards.
Learn the ministry strategy and context, so you can provide relevant resources. Support a missionary financially.
