About My Family
I have been married to my beautiful bride, Amanda, since 2006. We have five children—Benjamin, Timothy, Joshua, Elijah and Deborah.
I am a disabled veteran of three services—U.S. Army, Air Force and Navy—a Chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol and an associate pastor at our local church. We live in Colorado Springs, where my wife is an active-duty Space Force officer. I love to smoke meats, go for walks, study God’s Word and travel with my family.

About My Ministry
I am a Civil Air Patrol (CAP), U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Chaplain, serving the Colorado Springs area as the Colorado Wing Group 3 Chaplain, where I supervise three squadron-level chaplains, and also serve the Colorado Wing as the Deputy Wing Chaplain.
In these roles, I help CAP Cadets (ages 12–21) and CAP senior members (18–99) exercise their First Amendment rights of religious expression, counseling, providing Christian services and offering moral and ethical services to CAP commanders. This can include normal weekly meetings, summer and winter encampments and during Search and Rescue/Disaster Relief missions, as I am a certified Mission Chaplain. I am also on an Air Force Assigned Mission (AFAM) in support to the U.S. Air Force Academy as an auxiliary chaplain, where I also support U.S. Air Force Chaplains in their duties as needed.

SBC Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by their institution and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.
