About My Family

I have been married to my beautiful bride, Amanda, since 2006. We have five children—Benjamin, Timothy, Joshua, Elijah, and Deborah.

I am a disabled veteran of three branches of service—U.S. Army, Air Force, and Navy—a Chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol, and a Church Revitalization consultant. We live in the Huntsville, Alabama, area, where my wife is an active-duty Space Force officer.

I love to smoke meats, go for walks, study God’s Word, and travel with my family.

About My Ministry

I am an SBC-endorsed Civil Air Patrol (CAP), U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Chaplain, serving the state of Alabama as the Alabama Wing Chaplain, where I supervise Chaplains and Character Development Officers across three Groups and 22 Squadrons.

In these roles, I help CAP Cadets (ages 12–21) and CAP senior members (ages 18–99) exercise their First Amendment rights of religious expression, provide counseling, offer Christian services, and provide moral and ethical services to CAP commanders. This can include normal weekly meetings, summer and winter encampments, and during Search and Rescue/Disaster Relief missions, as I am a certified Mission Chaplain.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by their institution and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.

Pray

Pray for boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the CAP members with whom I engage. Pray that through this ministry, more people would come to saving faith and live on mission. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
