As a 501(c)(3) organization, the North American Mission Board respects the intent of givers while retaining discretion over the use of all gifts. Any gifts received above the specific need will be applied where the need is greatest.
About My Family
I have a wife, Julie, and one son, Matthew. I have a stepson and stepdaughter and 11 grandchildren. I worked in the industrial construction industry for more than 50 years. Both my parents have gone on to their heavenly home.
About My Ministry
I am an SBC endorsed correctional chaplain. I started prison ministry with Kairos. I volunteered for several years and was council chair for the group that serves the maximum security unit where I now am chaplain. I saw a need there, went back to school at 62, and got a master’s degree in ministry studies in order to spend the rest of my life in service to both the incarcerated men and the office staff at our prison.
I was ordained as a prison chaplain by my local congregation (Yorktown Baptist Church in Corpus Christi) in September 2021.
