About My Family

Josh grew up on the west side of Atlanta and was saved by Jesus in the small church of First Baptist Lithia Springs. Through his time in college in Macon, Ga., and in seminary in New Orleans, he fell in love with cities and became burdened with the idea that there are people living in cities, even in the U.S., with no meaningful Christian relationship in their lives. That means a person could live and die never hearing how the good news of Jesus Christ can impact his life on earth and his life to come.
Josh met and fell madly in love with Sarah in college, and the two married soon after. After seminary, they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Evangeline, and moved to Denver to plant Dwell Church in October 2016.

About My Church Plant

Dwell Church is a new church starting in urban Denver in a neighborhood called West Colfax. This historic neighborhood is currently in the middle of massive revitalization and change, which means this place is ripe for the change God only can bring. Essentially, the neighborhood is re-writing its own story, and we believe the church should be part of that. We want to be a family defined by the love of God and committed to giving it away.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

Pray for the people of Denver to be introduced to the gospel through Dwell Church and for God to use that to bring about the life change only He can bring.

Participate

You can join us by praying, giving and going. First, lead your church to join us in praying for God to move as only He can in the city of Denver. Second, give to support this new work in Denver. Denver is quickly rising as one of the most expensive places in the country to live and do ministry, but the cause is worth it. Finally, you could join what God is doing here in Denver. Whether for a short time or for the rest of your life, you can make a difference for the kingdom of God.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
