About My Family
Hello! My name is Joy, a college student in Raleigh, N.C., with a passion for reaching the next generation of college students. I have been deeply impacted by my church family at Imago Dei, and am thrilled to work in the college ministry next year. The transition from high school to college brings spiritual and emotional turmoil as students wrestle with identity, the future, and the responsibilities of adulthood. While the world offers a multitude of solutions, only the sacrificial love and salvation offered by Christ can satisfy.
Long-term, I am interested in bivocational missions, using my education to pursue animal science and microbiology research as an avenue to work in the spiritually dark world of STEM research and academia. Until then, I am practicing a bivocational lifestyle now, serving in ministry and continuing my education.

About My Ministry
The Imago Dei Church College (IDCC) ministry internship is geared to bring the gospel to college students wherever they are. For Christians, IDCC functions to point them to intentional church membership in gospel community and equip them to live out their faith. For skeptics and non-believers, IDCC provides a space to ask hard questions, rub shoulders with Christians, and present the gospel.
My role in this ministry is to engage students on campus and connect them to the ministry and, ultimately, to the church through prayer, outreach, discipleship, Bible studies, and college nights. I will also help run the yearly OAK missions trip to give students a heart for missions and practical experience in evangelism. This is paired with intentional discipleship from the IDC church staff for me to grow in my ministry capabilities.
