About My Family
KJ and my wife, Sharon, both grew up in central North Carolina and were married in 2001. We have two sons, Jeremiah and Elijah.
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Christian Ministry from Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. We served 16 years in Jordan, Mont., and in 2022 moved to Hatteras Island to start One Church in Avon, N.C. We have a heart for rural, isolated communities.

About My Church Plant
Avon is a small village centrally located on Hatteras Island. The community is isolated, and the population fluctuates significantly during tourist season. Year round population is about 800, and the local residents are a tight-knit community.
My family and I are working in Avon to engage the community with the goal of becoming a community of Christ followers making Avon a better place to live, work and play. People in small communities can do without Walmart and McDonald's, but they shouldn’t have to be without a local body of believers.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
