About My Family
Our family moved from Minnesota to Florida in June 2023 to launch Horizon City. I was a pastor at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minn., and professor at Bethlehem College & Seminary.
Malaina was previously a missionary to France and then worked as a college recruiter for several years in Minnesota. I’ve been dreaming of church planting since my college days—more than 20 years ago—and Malaina has become my biggest supporter. We launched Horizon City Church in October 2024.

About My Church Plant
Orlando is the #1 most visited city in the world, the #3 fastest growing city in the USA, and will soon be the #1 de-churched city in the USA. Our region leads the nation in the percentage of people who have walked away from the Christian faith. Also, Orlando has voted the “most gay friendly” city in America for the past 10 consecutive years.
Our aim is to be an “easy entry” community. With that in mind, we have been offering many events and gatherings where people can connect. We have also placed a heavy emphasis on training our members in personal evangelism. Learn more at www.horizoncitychurch.com/prospectus.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
