About My Family

Both my wife, Brigitte, and I were each born to wonderfully committed Christian parents and came to faith at an early age. In 2004, I received my Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

The following year, Brigitte and I were appointed missionaries with the International Mission Board. Together, we served as church planters in East Asia for 11 years. During that time, God blessed us with three kids: Grace, Trinity and Josiah.

After returning to the U.S. in 2015, I was invited to serve on staff as an associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Mustang, Oklahoma, giving oversight to missions, men’s ministry and college/career. Although our time in Mustang was incredibly fulfilling, Brigitte and I once again felt God’s call to serve in a largely unchurched area.

About My Church Plant

My family and I moved to Colorado in January 2022, and we decided to focus on starting a church in Broomfield later that year. We are grateful that the Lord has provided a location in which to plant our church! The First Hmong Baptist Church in Broomfield has graciously opened their doors to allow us to meet. We have recently brought on a music director and a children’s ministry director, and we continue to build our core team. Our hope is to establish a Bible-focused, Christ-centered, gospel-proclaiming church that will serve the community for years to come!

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

We have lived in Broomfield for over a year now, and we've come to discover that building relationships here is a challenge. Please pray that we find new and more natural avenues to developing community. Also, pray that we will find more ways to serve the community during the cold months of winter and early spring.

Participate

As we engage the community this year, we need teams willing to help with block/park parties, distributing materials and prayer walking through neighborhoods. We also need teams to help us update the space where we will begin meeting as a church. Finally, we’re always looking for prayerful people who will regularly plead with us on behalf of the lost.
