About My Family
God called me to move to Pennsylvania from Florida to start a ministry on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania (Cal U). My involvement in campus ministry as a college student paved the way for me to serve in full-time ministry because I recognized the great value of helping college students in their faith journeys. It is my passion to serve in this way. Dennis and I met through a mutual friend, and it was an easy connection since he also works at Cal U in information technology. Dennis volunteers his time to help me serve students.
About My Ministry
College students get pressure from all sides—peers, professors and parents. They are balancing jobs, social life, schoolwork, operating on little sleep, and generally are more stressed than at any other point in their lives. During the college years, students are also discovering who they are, struggling with knowing which voices to listen to and deciding what they believe about life and God. Many of them are away from their churches for the first time or have no spiritual background. New Life is a safe place for students to explore Christianity. We have regular meetings where they can interact with other students and Christian leaders. We also have Bible studies, fellowship activities, retreats, service projects and missions trips. Students are making lifelong friends and building a firm foundation in their lives through this ministry!
