About My Family

I am a child of The King. I am wife to a God-loving and serving husband named Travis, whom I adore. I am a daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.

Travis and I are lifelong residents of Crossville, Tenn., and have been married 13 years. We have a blended family of three sons and one daughter. Our oldest is 24, married and have their first child, our first grand-baby. Our next is 23, and the youngest are 22 and pursuing their own degrees.

As “empty nesters,” and apart from full-time ministry, we love spending time with family, kayaking, hiking, landscaping and sports.

About My Ministry

I serve as chaplain for the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief team. Also, I am in full-time ministry at Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church. I serve as ministry associate of music and chaplaincy.

I provide pastoral care and counseling for our members while also serving as one of the chaplains for our local hospital. I am fortunate to have been allowed to continue serving all clinical and management staff from the beginnings of and through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Having obtained a B.S. in Religion and an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling and Community Chaplaincy from Liberty University, I feel the Lord leading me toward a career in full-time health care chaplaincy and pastoral care. I am looking forward to what God has in store. My hope is to continually grow in these roles as I seek to serve wherever God leads.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites, and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless, and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard-to-reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain or counselor are established by the using agency and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy or counseling ministry involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.

Pray

For boldness to share the gospel and open hearts among the people to whom I speak. That through this ministry, more people would come to saving faith and live on mission. For stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
