About My Family
Our family came to the United States in February 2020 to start a new church for the large Japanese community in the greater Detroit area. My wife is from South Korea, and since her youth, she has carried a burden to serve the Japanese people. Both of us truly want to see a revival in Japanese churches, and we strongly believe that planting more kingdom-minded churches is the key to turning the tide around.
About My Church Plant
We launched Hikari City Church in October 2022. Our church is here to serve the Japanese people and the local community. We want to meet the needs of people living in the city by providing an English-learning community and a Bible study class. We are helping the local school through the Parent Teacher Association and meeting people who are having a hard time adjusting to life in the U.S.
NAMB Church Planting
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
