About My Family
My wife, Toni, and I were married February 17, 1989. There are too many animals and guitars in our house. I like playing music and occasionally try to play some golf. Toni has a horse and a rescue mini horse that she cares for and works with. We have ministered in churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Washington and Arizona.
About My Ministry
I am an SBC-endorsed supervising chaplain for the Arizona State Prison Complex/Yuma. Our complex houses approximately 4,800 inmates in five units with three different security levels. I supervise a team of four full-time chaplains and 80 volunteers.
I have been with the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry for 15 years, 10 years in a supervisory role. I am blessed to have a weekly teaching/preaching opportunity and work with inmate worship bands on multiple units. God has been providing divine appointments for me in detention areas, movement holding areas for incoming Inmates, and during lunchtime walks. One recent walk and talk produced a mentoring program using Beginning Steps- A Growth Guide for New Believers, first published by Texas Baptists, later produced by NAMB that will result in many baptisms.
