About My Family
Jennifer and I were high-school sweethearts and married in 1993. The oldest two of our four children were instrumental in getting us involved in refugee ministry, specifically the Karenni refugee children from Burma who came to Winston-Salem in 2009. We learned they were congregated at two apartment complexes nearby. We went to the playground of one of the complexes, and the children came out to play. Their families invited us into their homes, and we built the most amazing relationships.
We are passionate about living life intentionally together with our refugee friends. We involve our family so our children will share God’s heart for the nations. Our lives have been forever changed by meeting just one of the many people groups from all over the world whom God loves dearly and sent His Son to reclaim and redeem.

About My Ministry
While on a missions trip in 2015 with our beloved Karenni friends, ministering together to refugees in Iowa, God called us to do this type of work full time. We love to share God’s Word together as we both help our friends and are helped by them in return. Working with refugees has taught us so much about faith and love. We wanted to join God where He was already working so clearly in our hearts and in this community, and we began dreaming of possibilities.
As North American Mission Board missionaries, our current assignment is in Winston-Salem, N.C., working with hundreds of refugees from around the world. We also use our passion, resources and experience to catalyze other people in evangelizing the many international people in our city. We are so thankful to be following God on this exciting journey.
