About My Family
I grew up as a pastor’s kid in North Carolina and felt a call to ministry the summer before my freshman year at East Carolina University (ECU). At ECU, I met my wife, Anna. We’ve been married since 2004 and have four teen-aged children: Gwen, Hazel, Dylan and Jeremiah.
I began serving in pastoral ministry in 2003 and earned my M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2009. In 2019, the Lord called us to ministry in Michigan, and we quickly fell in love with the people and this place. In 2023, we felt a burden to plant Grace Church in the place where the Lord had planted our hearts and lives. I am passionate about seeing the Word of God transform people into the image of Jesus.

About My Church Plant
We are planting Grace Church in Holt, a typical mid-Michigan community. Situated about 10 miles from the state capital and Michigan State University, our area is home to some 500,000 people. The fastest growing religious affiliation in our area are the “nones”—those who claim no religion. There is a great need here for healthy churches to reach the lost.
Our desire is plant a church where people can have life changing encounters with the grace of Jesus. We want Grace Church to be a light for the gospel to our town by showing the love of Jesus in our actions and sharing the love of Jesus in our words. We have begun gathering with a core group, praying for our town, sharing with our neighbors and serving our community. We believe that Jesus is the answer to needs of the people around us.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
