About My Family

My wife and I have been married for 13 years and have five children. I am from North Carolina, and my wife is from Oklahoma. One fun fact about us is that each of our kids were born in a different state.

We aren't perfect, but we settled it in our hearts before we ever began that we would love each other and care for each other as Jesus would. And Jesus has graciously helped us make it thus far. We are absolutely nothing without Him and so the best thing about our family is that Jesus is the glue that keeps us all together and the Holy Spirit is the counselor who guides us daily into tomorrow.

About My Ministry

I am convinced the Lord Jesus has asked each of His disciples to not only know God’s Word but to go live it out. In other words, to take His light to the dark places of the world. As a teaching pastor and as an SBC-endorsed military chaplain, my desire is to go to the places that are darkest and to shine the light of Jesus.

I know there is no darkness that God’s love and light can’t expel. I have seen firsthand in my life and marriage how Jesus can change everything, and I can’t get over what He’s done for me.

I desire for those around me to also experience Jesus in life-changing ways; therefore, I live on a mission to advance the gospel and grow God’s kingdom by shining the light of Jesus in as many places as possible.

SBC Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is a vital frontline ministry and extension of the local church. Chaplains reach the lost among the thousands of men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces, correctional facilities, healthcare settings, public safety, disaster relief sites and corporate environments. SBC Chaplains care for the broken, offer hope to the hopeless and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in hard to reach places.
The qualifications expected of a Southern Baptist applying for endorsement as a chaplain are established by the using agency and the Chaplains Commission, SBC. These qualification requirements vary according to the type of chaplaincy involved but all are expected to meet a high level of ministerial competence.

Pray for favor in my community and battalion with families and soldiers. Pray for my family as I sacrifice my time with them to be with the soldiers. Pray for those I encounter to be receptive to the gospel of Jesus.

Send cards and care packages I can share with soldiers. Contact the soldiers in our area and encourage them to get to know me.
