About My Family
Originating from Casper, Wyoming, Kayla and I have been all over the world. Living in Uganda for two years shaped us as ministers of the gospel back here in Denver.
Kayla and I have five kids—Micah, Julia, Elliot, Amelia and Scarlet. Ministry is a family calling, and we find a lot of joy in Jesus together.
Matt has an Master of Arts degree in architecture from Montana State University Bozeman and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Kayla has a Bachelor of Science degree in biblical studies from Moody Bible Institute. Together we get outside, rock climb, visit coffee shops, drive our 15 passenger van around Denver and hope to create real gospel-saturated community wherever we go!

About My Church Plant
We knew God was calling us to plant in East Denver along the East Colfax corridor the minute we stepped out of the car. Kayla and I looked at each other and said, "I think we are home!"
Our community is home to a diverse mix of immigrants and refugees, extremely impoverished, young, rich, and middle class all packed into one ZIP code. There is a lot here, but sadly not much worship of Jesus. We plan to be consistently committed to the overlooked and the forgotten through service, showing up, showing and telling the gospel of Jesus, and teaching everyone what it means to follow Jesus in our day.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
