About My Family
I was born and raised in Polk County, N.C. I graduated from Polk Central High School in 1984. I served in the USMC Reserve (1985–92). In 1987, I married the love of my life, Donna. On October 09, 1988, I surrendered to the Lord’s call to ministry, and in March 1991, I took my first pastoral position.
I graduated from Fruitland Baptist Bible College and Andersonville Baptist Seminary. Prior to planting MiddleCross Church in November 2023, I led four different congregations, and I have been privileged to preach and teach the gospel in nine different countries around the world, while simultaneously leading over 200 people on short term missions.
In 2000, the Lord blessed us with the first of three adopted children (Jonathan, Michael and Brittany). In 2023, we welcomed Emersyn Kaye (granddaughter) into the family.

About My Church Plant
Church planting is an “adventure” I said I would never embark on; however, the Lord in His sovereign will allowed a series of events to move us into a new ministry that He is using to grow and stretch our faith. Rutherford County (pop. 65,000) has more than 200 churches, but for a number of reasons, many are struggling to reach their unchurched communities. Statics indicate that less than 15,000 people attend each week.
Nationally, 2.3 million people leave the church every year (equal to 44,000 a week!). We need new witnesses in every community in the form of new churches. Today, God’s vision for MiddleCross Church is way bigger than myself, and I am excited to see what He accomplishes in this work as we seek to be His hands, His feet and His voice in Rutherford County and the uttermost parts of the world!

NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
