About My Family
Emily and I grew up in the Dallas area and have had church planting in our hearts for more than 10 years. We moved to Tyler in 2020 so I could serve in the administration at Grace Community School. Very quickly, Tyler became home for us, and we very much felt called to plant our roots here. Over time, we started praying about the possibility of planting a church somewhere here in this community.
It was not necessarily part of our plan, but we both work at a foster/adoption organization called Hope Haven based in Tyler. We have three awesome kids—Avery, Micah and Benjamin—and are excited about embarking on this church plant journey together as a family.
We started gathering the core team for Redemption Church in early 2025, but really this is something that God has been stirring in our hearts for many years!

About My Church Plant
Our desire is to plant Redemption Church in Tyler, Texas, as a church that exists to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel, in community, and on mission. God has graciously brought an incredible team together to serve alongside us, and he has gone ahead of us by opening doors for partnership and ministry.
Even though here in the south there is still a lot of cultural Christianity, the reality is that our community desperately needs more gospel proclaiming churches. Like the rest of Texas, Tyler has seen an influx of new people from all over the country and from nations around the world. Redemption is strategically located in a rapidly growing area with many new and young families moving here every day. Our hope is that Redemption Church would be part of a broader movement to plant faithful churches throughout East Texas.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
