About My Family

I was born and raised in inner-city Seattle, but have been a New Englander for the past 18 years since marrying into a New England family. I first heard the gospel in my early high-school years after elderly neighbors engaged me with the hope of Christ.

Many years later, after marrying Jess and beginning a family, I worked at a few different churches and planted a church just north of Pittsburgh. In 2015, I went on staff at The Village Church Denton, where I and a team of members were sent out to plant Grace Harbor Church.

Jess and I have four children at home: Noah (19), Elli (16), Chloe (15) and Meryn (8). We also have an adult daughter, Brianna (25). I have a degree in sociology from Edinboro University and am finishing an M.Div. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

About My Church Plant

New Bedford, one of the last large coastal cities to be revitalized, is prime for gospel opportunities. It is located in a stretch of almost 250,000 people, and there is very little gospel witness.

There are many ideas about what our city needs. We believe the city's greatest need is to have a local, gospel-exalting church. We are praying that the Lord would bless our efforts and that He would establish a faithful, local church to preach the gospel and make disciples in the city.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for the Lord to intentionally and strategically establish a gospel-exalting church in the city of New Bedford. Our desire is to see the residents of our city turn from their apathy and addictions toward a life surrendered to Christ. We are laboring to show, teach and equip men and women in our neighborhoods into full maturity in Christ with the goal of them becoming indigenous godly leaders in their homes, neighborhoods and the local church. Pray for all that is required for this to happen. Pray for needed finances, our team and our neighbors. We believe the local church is the modern-day lighthouse, giving direction to the lost and hope to the hopeless.

Participate

Pray. Give. Come. Are you considering partnering with us, or adopting a church plant in New England? We would love to extend to you an invitation to come and experience a vision trip where you can see firsthand what the Lord is doing in our region. A vision trip consists of staying in New Bedford with one of our host families, doing a full tour of our city and meeting our neighbors, as well as worshiping with us on a Sunday.
