About My Family

I was born and raised in Texas and Katie in Florida. We have been married since 2018. In December of 2021, we adopted our amazing son, William. He turned 5 in August of 2022, and recently began kindergarten. Our desire is to continue to grow our family through adoption as God leads and opens doors.

I spent years in the social work field before entering seminary in 2014. Most recently, I served as pastor of Towne Baptist Church, just outside of Baltimore, Md.

Katie works as a pediatric nurse practitioner where she is passionate about using her gifts to live out her God-given calling. We both enjoy trying out new restaurants, spending time outdoors and watching football, especially college football. Go Texas Christian University Horned Frogs and Florida Gators!

About My Church Plant

During my time serving as pastor of Towne Baptist Church, God began opening up doors and leading us in the direction of church planting in the Atlanta, Ga., area. We will be planting in Lilburn (about five miles outside of Atlanta), which is in Gwinnett County, whose population increased over 100k between 2010–2020.

Lilburn is a growing and diverse city and home to various faiths, including Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism. The second largest Hindu temple in the U.S. is in Lilburn.

The harvest is plentiful! We are excited for this new church-planting adventure, knowing it will be an arduous task, but completely worth it because it’s all about Jesus, His kingdom and His glory. God’s love is so great, His grace so amazing, and His mercy so underserved. To sum up our mission briefly: Live truth. Live love. Reflect Jesus!

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for our family as we transition to a new state, new roles and a new season of life. Pray God would guide our steps, give us His vision and open doors for His kingdom work. Pray as we gather an initial team to be the foundation for the church plant. Pray the church will be established and will faithfully work to plant in other communities, too. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.

Participate
