About My Family

Lauren and I met seven years ago at church. Within months, we were inseparable, having found the partner we both had always longed for. We have been married for six years now, and these years have been the happiest and most healing of either of our lives. We are amazed by the blessings that God gives us in our marriage!

Deep down, we both knew that God would call us into ministry. For years, Lauren tried to dive into missions too soon, while I tried to run away. But God patiently prepared and grew us in our own ways, until He knew that we were finally ready. At the right time, He has now sent us out, and we are passionate, humbled and fulfilled by His calling to share Jesus with the world.

About My Church Plant

Utah: 99% unreached with the Gospel (NAMB). 1 in 5 teens has seriously considered suicide, and the suicide rate has tripled in the past 10 years (Utah DHHS).

These are statistics that broke our hearts long before we ever visited Utah. And once we did visit and met wonderful people who lived in complete darkness and despair, our hearts were absolutely shattered.

The gospel is hope—the only hope we have. Without hope, people have nothing left. As a state that is 99% lacking in the gospel—99% lacking in hope—it is no wonder that suicide is so common.

ValleyLight Church is a beacon of hope in this abject darkness. Planted only two years ago, ValleyLight has grown to 150+ people, showing just how hungry for hope this valley is. Lauren and I are excited to serve here under Pastor Cooper and help spread God’s Light!

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray that we would be loving ambassadors of Christ to all who we meet everyday. Pray the Lord will send workers into His harvest in Utah. Pray God continues to defend us from spiritual attacks and give us strength and endurance amidst the darkness here.

Participate

Consider partnering with us financially. As God provides for us more and more through donors like you, we will be less and less dependent upon part-time “day jobs.” Every dollar that God provides contributes to our ability to work less and focus on ministry more! Also, come serve with us on a short-term mission trip. We have endless opportunities for you and your church to serve!
