About My Family

I am originally from Winston-Salem, N.C. The Lord brought me to Calgary in 2021. This was after many trips up here from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, on one of those trips, I met Sara, who is now my wife. We were married on July 8, 2022.

The Lord brought me here to serve as a church planting team member with Hope Hills Church. I am currently a student at the Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary, earning a master’s degree in Christian ministry with an emphasis in church planting.

Sara and I firmly believe the Lord has called us to plant a church in Calgary. After graduating, we plan to go through a church planter residency through the Aspen Church Planting Network, which is our local church planting network of nine cooperating churches and counting. Our residency will then lead to our assessment through NAMB to become lead church planters.

About My Church Plant

Calgary is one of the fastest growing cities in North American. Nearly 30% of this diverse population of 1.5 million citizens were brought to the city from around the world. The nations are here, and Revelation 7:9 describes “a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” They sing praises to the Lamb for the sacrifice He made. I am convinced that at least some of that number is in Calgary.

In this process, Acts 28:31 has been a major encouragement for me. Paul in Rome, no matter what, “proclaim[ed] the kingdom of God and [taught] about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.”

I will be serving with Hope Church in Symons Valley with the goal of being sent out to plant a church in another community.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.
