About My Family
Michelle and I have been married since 1996. In 2015, while we were living and teaching in China, we adopted our daughter Rebekah when she was 2 years old. We have lived and served together in Virginia, Mississippi, China, and now South Dakota. We are grateful for the opportunity to be involved in what God is doing in the Dakotas.
We live in Piedmont, which is at the foothills of the Black Hills, between Rapid City and Sturgis, and is surrounded by beautiful and diverse landscapes. Piedmont’s population is around 1,000. Nearby Rapid City boasts a population around 75,000 and has access to shopping, restaurants, hospitals and Mt. Rushmore.

About My Church Plant
Redemption Church will be the only Southern Baptist church in Piedmont. North and South Dakota are home to only about 85 Southern Baptist churches, so the need is great in these states for Southern Baptist church plants.
We began holding services in our church building in November 2022. We are averaging a little more than 20 people each week and have seen more than 70 involved in weekly services. Our high attendance so far has been 32. We are working to build a core team of servants who will serve Jesus, one another and our community. We have a wonderful facility with ample space to grow.

NAMB Church Planting
Millions in North America are in desperate need of hope. Ultimately, the only hope that’s going to last - in this life and the next - is the hope of the gospel. North American missionaries build relationships and share this hope in their communities and beyond.
