About My Church Plant

Timothy and Carolyn are planting a church in New Orleans, La., in 2019 with First Baptist Church New Orleans as their Sending Church. They desire to share the gospel with the students and visiting scholars from China, as well as other Chinese people in the area. They also want to develop a strong missional church by focusing on discipleship so members can be cultivated in their own culture, glorify the Lord in their daily lives and declare the gospel of Christ to the city and to the world.

Timothy and Carolyn also envision a vibrant ministry to children and teens as well as encouragement to those who struggle with loss and grief. Thus, our ministry focus will be both on evangelism and on discipleship for both adults and children.

NAMB Church Planting

Millions living in North America have not been reached with the gospel. But a new church makes change possible in an unreached neighborhood.
Send Network church planters immerse themselves in a community, learning the rhythms and culture as they establish relationships with the lost. A church plant grows out of the evangelism efforts of the planter and his core team.

Pray

Pray for the planter’s family as they work together in ministry. Pray the church will be established and will faithfully work to plant in other communities, too. Pray the Lord brings leaders who can help within the church. Pray for stamina and longevity for ministry amidst attacks from the enemy.
