About My Family
Hi! I am Rachel, and I am originally from Gallatin, Tennessee! I am 21 years old and moved to Miami in May of 2023 after spending two summers here as a GenSend missionary. In 2022, I felt the Lord calling me to leave my hometown and go into ministry, so after finishing my Associate of Arts degree was the perfect opportunity. God’s timing has always been perfect, and He has provided for me every step of the way in this journey. I know that He will continue to be faithful to me in this ministry and in my future—whatever that may be!
About My Ministry
I am currently a campus missionary at the University of Miami (UM). I work with a team of staff on campus at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) to evangelize, minister to students and disciple them to learn how Jesus lived and how they can disciple others. I am passionate about helping people grow closer to the Lord and how to lean on Him in every situation.
I also work with Reality Church Miami as a ministry apprentice and am focused on college ministry. I plan events, connect students to pastors and mentors, and also work on fostering an environment where multi-generational relationships can be formed between the church and the students. Miami, Fla., holds a special place in my heart, and I know the Lord can redeem this place and all of it’s brokenness for His glory.
