About My Family

I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Sarah is a native Calgarian (from Calgary, Canada). We have been married since 2008 and have two daughters, Isabella and Katarina, who were born on the mission field in Argentina.

Sarah and I spent our young adult lives serving with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in rural, northern Argentina. I served as director of the biblical studies school and the biblical studies ministry. I developed and directed an external biblical seminary school for rural pastors in southern South America called Eagle Seminary School and planted and directed biblical studies schools in Chile, Venezuela and Uruguay.

From 2017 to 2021, Sarah and I planted a Portuguese-language church reaching immigrants in and around Vancouver, Canada.

About My Church Plant

“The Junction Church exists to give people the opportunity to meet with Jesus and receive the salvation found only in Him, to be redeemed by His love and to see real transformation in their families and communities as their lives intersect with their faith in Christ.”

We believe that once Jesus saves and redeems us, our response is to bring His message of hope to others. We believe that Christ has the power to transform not only our lives but the lives of all of those around us. Just as a junction is a place where things come together, The Junction Church walks alongside families and individuals, as they discover where their real lives join together with their faith and the real transformative power of Christ.

NAMB Church Planting

Demonstrated Christian character is essential for missionaries and chaplains to gain credibility and build community. A missionary is a person who, in response to God's call and gifting, leaves his or her comfort zone and crosses cultural, geographic or other barriers to proclaim the gospel and live out a Christian witness in obedience to the Great Commission. The North American Mission Board supports missionaries serving across the United States, Canada and their territories. Churches are the missionary incubators and sending centers for missionaries through the Southern Baptist Convention. Missionaries serve in a variety of settings and face tremendous challenges. But the rewards are tremendous and life-changing. Missionaries have the privilege to represent their church and their Father in sharing the gospel as the primary focus of their activity. If you are interested in pursuing next steps as a potential missionary or chaplain from your church, explore the possibilities at namb.net/send-me.

Pray

Please pray God would provide a place in which to meet. We will require space to accommodate growing groups. The space could be in a community centre, in a school, a coffee shop, an old theatre—anywhere! Pray God will provide the resources needed, which could include Bibles for new believers, children’s curriculum for VBS and other programs, summer ministry supplies, etc. Please also pray for our family as we transition to life in a new city!

Participate

Starting a new church isn’t an easy task, but we are up for the challenge because we know we won’t be doing it alone. We are looking for other churches who can walk alongside us by praying, sending teams of people and resources to meet community needs and providing financial support.
Many missionaries build a team to join their ministry in prayer, participation, and provision. These friends, family and churches support missionaries beyond the tithes and offerings given within the church plant.
